In 2020, l became a Board Certified Neurologic Specialist and primarily treat vestibular issues, vertigo, and concussions. Additional trainings include treatment and diagnosis of chronic pain and pelvic floor issues such as incontinence, urinary urgency, urinary frequency, prolapse, diastasis recti, and pelvic pain. I have also been trained as a Reiki level II practitioner and a 200-hr yoga instructor.
More on my professional life...
I am the Program Director for the Physical Rehab Exposure Program, which serves high school students from minoritized backgrounds by sharing the profession of physical therapy. The aim of this program is to promote diversity, improve community access, and strengthen collaboration across disciplines of health and education.
Here's my passion...
I am a yoga instructor, Reiki practitioner, and dancer. I treat clients with a holistic-based approach by incorporating the Eastern and Western healing tools of PT, Reiki, and yoga for preventative and expansive healing. I also love connecting public speaking, academia, reading, writing, and performing.
I created Priority One Wellness to blend my profession life and passions into a cohesive practice. I believe in the power of healing touch and enjoy helping people find their joy and freedom in movement.
Learn all about our mission, vision, and origin story!
So often we are told that it is selfish to put ourselves first. When it comes to our health, we have only one body in this life and it is critical that we protect and care for it. As you transform your body and mind, you'll begin to help others in a whole different way than before.
Collective healing starts with one individual sharing their tools with others, who then share those tools with others, until there is a common culture and shared belief about health and wellness. Take what you learn from this space and share it with the world.
The goal of the healthcare system should not be to react to illnesses as they arise, but instead to educate, empower, and advocate for prevention of disease, illness, and injury. By building up your toolkit and using existing resources, you can take a more proactive approach to your health and wellness.
